Restore Coyote Creek

a Project of the Friends of Coyote Creek Watershed

Fish Patrol

Fish Patrol is seasonal activity to identify and count trout and salmon as they come to the creek to spawn in the winter. This task is vital to our understanding of the number and types of fish that return to the creek.

As a member of the Fish Patrol, over the course of a few months during the winter, we ask that you go to a small section of the creek periodically and report on the number and type of fish observed. Use the Creek Monitoring Form to record your observations and submit to Richard McMurtry at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

This activity will occur in the region of the creek from Milpitas to Brokaw Rd during the spawning months from October to January.
